I bought this as a replacement esophagostomy collar for my cat and I was disappointed from the minute I took it out of the box. As soon as I took it out of the plastic wrap I saw that it was very thin and didn't look at all like the Kitty Collar that was brought in from the vet clinic. When I pulled the Velcro apart, the thread holding them was already loose. There is almost no padding around the collar so it is uncomfortable and can potentially irritate the cat's stoma site as it rubs against gauze or cotton pads. that it's fine as a temporary while the main wash washes, but it won't be safe or stable enough for everyday use.
