It seemed good at first, but it started to get annoying when the slightest touch of the cable caused the screen to go black. I have it on my desk with my Microsoft Surface 2 laptop, and even if I put a pen or envelope on it, it sometimes "turns off". I have other cables (though not the same length) that work fine, so I know it's not a laptop or port issue.
