Controls did not work properly when connected to the device as per the limited instructions. Connecting the black wire to line or voltage, the red wire to a load, and the white wire to neutral turns the load on in daylight, not off. When I simulated a dark situation by closing the photocell, it turned off the load instead of turning it on. Exactly the opposite of what should happen. I have read in other reviews that this has happened to others. Swapping the red and black wires caused the controller to cycle on and off about every minute. So I sent the controller back for a refund. I would not recommend it.
