The shoes are very cute, I just had to buy a size down because the ones I originally received were huge. The problem with boots is that the insert inside the boot doesn't stay on the sole of the boot. It shifts sideways which is why my child walks with a very flat foot. Babies don't have stable, strong feet, so the fact that the insole of the shoe slides sideways makes their feet much more unstable and poorly placed. In addition, the Velcro does not stay closed! its opening all the time. I have to say though that it is a nice thick leather and the outsole of the shoe has a slightly grippy rubber outsole.
