I have an Alienware 25" 240Hz monitor, but against the advice of everyone I play with, I wanted to try ultra widescreen games. I've been given many reasons why a competitive FPS player shouldn't use an ultrawide screen, but after setting up this monitor I gave up on those ideas completely. I am very happy with the image quality and performance. The picture is beautiful, the response is fast, there are no noticeable halos. Also, it's 30 inches, not 34+, and I don't turn my head to see the full screen, like my friends have warned me and what I've read online. It's not practical to play FPS (or games at all) on ultra-wide, I would give it a try as the price isn't as absurdly high as most of its competitors. A bang for your buck to say the least, I really like it.
