Gift for my wife. The sleeve works great. The black part is made of soft rubber and has pads inside to allow the straightener/curling iron to cool down quickly after it's turned off. You can put your straightener/curling iron straight into this thing right after use so you don't have to put it on the bathroom counter at the risk of touching it or burning something nearby. Since there is a large gap between the hot device and the outside edge of the case, you can wrap the power cord around the outside of the case without fear of melting it.
