I'm not a big fan for two reasons. 1) it's painful to unwind the cord every time I use it, 2) the heat shield isn't long enough to cover the entire length of the heated portion of the curling iron or straightener, so I can always use it not yet put my suitcase in it immediately after use for fear of burning or melting something.

This cart solved my problem almost perfectly. This provides a clean and safe way to store your curling iron between uses. I let the iron cool down a bit before using this storage box. But it's a lot better than letting the iron cool down completely before putting it away - and ending up stepping on a long cord hanging from the vanity, sometimes causing the curling iron to fall to the floor. A very nice little invention.

I had to remove the curling iron from the countertop. This works great and allows me to store it in the closet. Get up and don't fall. I don't have to worry if it hasn't cooled completely. I haven't used it for travel yet, but I will. I would love to have something in the package to protect clothes from iron.

Great idea. However. When you put the hair stick in, it won't come out easily. The rubber grips inside hold it very firmly and you have to put the device down to grab and pull it out. ALSO. SENTENCE.
