This tool was partially responsible for costing me hundreds of dollars for a simple oil change. It is a known fact that many oil change technicians overtighten the oil. filter cover. However, due to the poor design and tight tolerances of this tool, it broke off pieces of the plastic tabs from the oil filter cover the first time it was used, breaking the plastic at the same time. So not only was he unable to remove the filter cap, he broke the cap so I can't even put the oil back in to warm up the car to try and remove the cap. The only solution now is to try to remove it with another tool and hope the crack doesn't loosen up and prevent it from being removed. It's a poorly designed, cheap tool that will cost you a lot more to fix the problem it's causing. DO NOT BUY THIS! Learn from my mistake and buy the updated Motivx tool, it's more expensive but fits snugly with no useless cut outs for the top lugs. This saves you the headache and expense I had to go through.
