The product itself is great - it's sturdy, fits well, holds up very, very well. Too good actually, and that's the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars. If you're renting or buying one so you don't have to drill a hole in the wall, DO NOT buy it - just drill holes. I promise the glue will peel off your paint if you try to remove it for any reason - that's how strong it is. It is much easier to seal the hole with caulk or cement than to plaster the wall later. Is it easy to install? does it hold up well? Yes Is it suitable for shelves? Yes Will I use it again? Yes, but not on a painted surface. Maybe tiles. Is the plastic strip visible on the wall? Yes
