We have very hard (calcium) water and it works great.
No need to add anything, put a tablet, take out clean dishes. Due to the fact that we have such hard water saturated with calcium, it accumulated on the dishes, so earlier you had to rinse the glass with vinegar every four months. Now I only have to do this once a year. No limescale deposits, the glasses simply shine. I love it. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
