Review on Ultimate Comfort for Pets: Discover the K&H Lazy Cup Pet Bed by Shawn Reiff

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not bad but mine leveled off quickly

For the price it was a good buy (but see my review below for a continuation). I bought it three months ago, in January 2013, for my cat Kaliko. So far he refuses to climb into his new bed, but he will sleep next to him. No amount of persuasion works, and neither does scented cat pheromone spray, catnip, favorite toys, or treats. I suppose she will try one day, but it should be when she decides it's time. This pet bed is nice and soft, doesn't take up too much space, looks good and if I was small enough I would sleep in it. My dog tried it but only her head fits in. That's why we award 5 stars. When we finally hear from my cat I'll let you know her thoughts (my Calico review of this product has already been posted. See below). CONTINUED: NOVEMBER 18, 2013 After ignoring her favorite bed for about 9 months, my rescued Calico finally started using it. She has been sleeping in it for about six weeks now and seems very happy with it. Suddenly she was sleeping less in that crib, so I decided to check what had changed. The padding of the bed (mattress, for lack of a better word) isn't as fluffy and resilient as it used to be. My adult cat is only 7.3lbs so this flattening of the litter should not have happened in such a short time. When I gently press the center piece of the duvet, I really feel the bottom. The problem is not enough filler in the gasket. That's why I'm rating this bed 2 1/2 stars, specifically for its comfortable size and beautiful looks. I'd like to think that maybe I just got a lemon.
