The tree came out of the box with very little "fluffing” of the branches needed. It is not overly decorated or garish which works well in my office setting. The burlap covering the base had a fair amount of loose ends that needed to be trimmed but that is typical of burlap. There are several different modes of lighting displays to choose from with the battery operated control. I was unable to move the pine cones or berries. One area of the tree has them too lined up for my liking but it is easy enough to face that area towards a wall. Have used the tree for about 36 hours with the lights on so far without having to replace the batteries, not sure how long they will last but pleasantly surprised that they have lasted this long.
