Safe and strong! good for accessories

Ever since I've been carrying my smartphone around in a wheeled vehicle I've had to make compromises. Either the mount was too flexible (wobbly), or the device didn't fit well, or the device was difficult to insert/remove. I've had phone holders that were particularly good at one of the above but not all three...... Until now. My "device" IE: The smartphone of choice is a large iPhone SX Max in a protective case. Most of these phone and case combos will test the ability of many phone holders to hold it securely. That worry ended when this bike phone holder from VIICSEED had a stranglehold on my device, leaving only one way out. I didn't feel it when I first tried to put my large phone in the holder. Gripping the phone appears complicated as three of the four grips move in a coordinated manner and one grip appears to be stationary and motionless. So when I tried to close the grips, an action of pressing the top grip against the bottom grip, the side grips stopped moving before touching the sides of my phone/case. This appeared to be incorrect and I contacted the seller voicing my concern about the design flaw. But no! I just accidentally missed a detail mentioned in the description of the holder! I included a picture in this review which told me what I needed to know i.e. the *LOWER* handle is a slide that moves away from the top handle and keeps moving until the side handles are fully in the ideal position for move catch. on the side of the phone! How about? Smart right? A reviewer here, someone who is a Vine member, complained that the side handles don't move far enough. I bet the reviewer didn't bother to contact the seller like I did to get a little help before leaving a low value review. Always contact the seller if you have any questions about using the product. In most cases, questions about the correct application can be answered quickly. Well, as for the rest of the holder, it has an amazing clip to hold round objects. I bought mine to use on my Buell bike but Buell (Firebolt XB12R) doesn't have a suitable standard item to grab this holder's clip. This is an unusual handlebar configuration with limited space for accessories. I'm going to make some kind of round section adapter and solve the problem with the clamp. Other vehicles this will work on include my GoPed electric scooter and what I wasn't expecting was the broken dash on my abused 2004 Nissan Titan! There is a hole in the top of the dashboard that needs to be covered with a plastic cover. The missing strip leaves these slots open on the top of the dash, and the bottom jaw of the phone holder fits right into this slot, allowing the top jaw to press against the top dash opening. It won't go anywhere and is very easy to remove, unlike suction cups with horrible sticky pads. Pooh! Another handy benefit of this easy-to-release mount is the ability to attach your phone - done? BASKET! Yes, who goes shopping and leaves their phone in the shopping cart when they leave? With this bracket, a stranger cannot quickly grab your device. You need to know where the small release buttons are in order for the handles to open and free your phone. This is unlikely to happen on the fly. My regular mall uses in-app coupons and my phone is always off when I'm looking for the best deals. This mount takes the stress out of shopping when I have to turn my back on my cart. Just remember to remove the mount and phone when you leave the premises! I'll come back and update my review after using this VICSEED mount for a while and add some nice photos of it in action.
