It stutters a bit when switching from one direction to the other.

Does the job but when you use it to rotate it back and forth 1/4 turn the object shakes. I use it to take videos of rings to sell online and if the ring isn't laying flat it wobbles when I change direction. There is also a hum of its own that can be heard in the video.
