I've been using the 900Mhz Uniden Extend-A-Phone for over 10 years now and I'm happy with it - the only exception being the rather limited range. Having had good experiences with the Uniden product and wanting something a little more modern, I settled on the Uniden 5.8GHz model with caller ID capabilities. Picking up the device and getting started was easy enough, as any phone should be. Programming the call records wasn't too bad, but I don't like how calls from the list are activated. This makes the three-way call considerably more difficult when using entries from the address book. But one of the most annoying things about this phone is that I have to set the time of day and day of the week. I don't know why this information just isn't pulled from the caller ID message. It wouldn't be bad to set it once, but this phone has a nasty habit of resetting itself when I put it on the charger after a call. The call can last 2 minutes or 92 minutes and may or may not be reset when placed in the charger. 2 stars because it has good range but I would expect that from any 5.8 phone. The bottom line for me is that this will be the last Uniden product I will ever buy.
