My preschooler doesn't like it

My child has NOT liked this Tony AT ALL for the last 7-10 days. Every time we put a dog or Cookie Monster on top (I can't even bring myself to open Elmo's character because he's extremely obnoxious), they immediately grab the character from the top and basically turn everything off. The little dog figure is very cute and the stories and songs seem interesting, but my child doesn't want to participate. Initially, we had trouble connecting to the WiFi, so setup wasn't as easy as we'd hoped. To be honest I think having free songs and stories on my Revain Dot is a good investment for kids. I liked the idea that it's sort of a kid-friendly boombox with your kid's favorite songs and character stories, but my kid just doesn't like it. expensive, but the first car was financially doable - I think it's the same with a friendly starting price until you figure out how much you're spending on little figurines that look like song-and-story-filled dollar store figurines (if you buy 6 characters, then you spent another $90 and so on). You'd better hope you never lose one of the little characters or you won't have $15. I'm pretty sure Cookie Monster is currently hanging around our dollar store with our miniatures Sally, Minnie, Dory and other $1 toys. Unfortunately, this Tony is a resounding NO from me and my preschooler. The device itself is of high quality and I can see it being reliable for kids to jump around with. My kid is much happier listening to free songs on Dot while coloring, playing with blocks, and preparing recipes for me to try with our kitchen toys instead of messing around with this thing.
