Review on πŸ”Š eMACROS Wireless Conference Speakerphone - Portable Business 360ΒΊ Voice Pickup Speaker for Conference Calls, Mobile Phones, and VoIP by Denise Diaz

Bad echo ruined a good product

I wanted a conference speaker with microphone for a meeting with someone calling a free conference call service. I need bluetooth connection and portable size. I tested six products and this review covers them all. None of them were really great. The Emacros Wireless Conference Speaker had a nice sound coming out of the speaker. Voices on the phone sounded good too. However, there was an echo. The person addressing the speaker does not always hear their own voice returning to them, but enough to disqualify that voice. Sometimes just "wow-wow", and sometimes whole words. The Skywin wireless speaker and conference mic just didn't sound good. He cut off the ends of all words spoken near him. Unfortunately, the Bose SoundLink Revolve didn't live up to its price tag. There was an echo similar to that of Emacros, although not as strong. The speaker volume on the phone might not be high enough. There was background noise. The cheaper Trinity Xsound Go wireless Bluetooth speaker had such a loud background hiss that we didn't actually test it. What we left behind is Jawbone's miniJambox. If you hold it like a cellphone with the mic up, it doesn't reverberate as much as the others. The voices could be heard clearly at each end of the line. The volume was good. The sound quality is not very good, but better than that of a mobile phone. It was only $35.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Security
