This is a waterproof bed pillow that serves as a good protective layer on your child's mattress. You can put it on top of your child's sheet so that in case of an accident you can just toss it in the washing machine and change to another without washing all the sheets (so I'd recommend having two of them). It covers my Graco backpack's mattress and a toy and then some (see photos). I also took a picture of my 4 month old baby to give you an approximate size. This is a very cute print for a boy's room. I've photographed both sides so you can see the different materials - it's made of cotton and bamboo. It is machine washable and will get softer with more washes (hang dry recommended). Something that makes life easier when you have young children - it makes cleaning up a messy bed an easy task!
