Our home is made of hardwood and vinyl floors. In the winter, the hardwood in our bedroom gets pretty cold. Since the bed is in the middle of the room, I took one on each side. Thickness is good, feels soft underfoot. I love this style and since I bought it in gray it goes with everything. I wanted this because I tend to buy new comforters and comforters based on price and quality rather than color or style. We also have a small dog, I wanted something where he wouldn't get his claws caught. It's perfect. Very happy with this purchase!
