Convenient for adding a drive, but the interface is slow.
I originally used it to add an SDD to boot. Tests have shown me that the interface slows down transfer speeds. I ended up replacing and installing the SDD and internal drive. It also slows down the HDD, but it's less noticeable than when the SDD was in the trash. Somehow the boot sectors got corrupted and both drives had to be reformatted. I'm not sure if the caddy did it or not.
