I have very long straight hair. I curl my hair and only wash it twice a week. I have used complimentary shower caps from previous hotels and it was a game changer. I can put this whole hat on my hair if it's in a bun and pinned up. I haven't tried soaking the top with a cap, but it keeps my hair dry when I shower. The only point that caused a small problem was the elastic buckle. I had to tighten the elastic to get it to fit my head properly, but when stretched the elastic slipped off. I fixed this by tying the elastic in a knot around the buckle when I had the desired tension. Just FYI, they are for those who have a lot of hair, so if you have short or thin hair, this shower cap will suit you.
