A great solution for modern features on a standard deck with a 6-pin connector on the back.

This item works GREAT on my 2007 Toyota Matrix with a 6+6 or 12 pin rear connector. I have a top of the range JBL audio system with a 6 CD in dash changer and was nervous it wouldn't work for some reason. It plugged right in and now I can listen to MP3s from a flash drive or any auxiliary input. Mine even came with a cheap USB SD/MicroSD card reader. The AUX input is quite similar to my phone, but it's typical. I need my phone at max volume and my stereo at max 90% volume but it still sounds clean, clear and great. The only downside I can find is that the 3.5mm jack doesn't fit in the case. I plan to put a socket on the socket and then I can use any 3.5mm plug I like so I don't have to reduce the sprocket. Note: I was nervous about how the source would work. It is actually quite simple. Now there's AM, FM and my CD button switches from CD to CD1 like some stereos switch from FM1 to FM2. When I want to listen to my CDs I just press "cd", when I want to switch to aux I press "cd" again and the display changes to CD1. The priority in this block is USB first and then AUX. So if you have a memory card inserted, it will play. Disable this and the aux source will take over. The USB music is controlled via numbers below my deck where they become softkeys. I have repeat, shuffle, and even fast forward and rewind (not just skipping a track). I'm very impressed that I was able to get all the functionality of the $150 custom deck for $25 with no modifications or wiring hassle.
