Not suitable for computer cable adapter

I bought this switch to use the LG 5K Thunderbolt Display for Mac mini and M1 MacBook Air. I couldn't display the video signal from the other Mac on the monitor. I also tried using my MacBook Pro but there was no video signal. I bought the Switch after reading a review on AppleInider and confirming that my 5K display was the correct model number. In short, I couldn't get a computer to play videos on my display.
