Review on Clever Coffee Dripper CoastLine Large by Dusty Wonsley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is how I make coffee.

I broke my old one and tried to live without it. I could not. I have Chemex, AeroPress and French Press. I like them all. But that's how I make coffee when I'm making a cup (so 2 times a day, almost every day). I am revising my rating and deducting two stars. Not because a dropper always makes good coffee, but because I've tried 3 in six years and the design has a problem. Small plastic legs break. I don't care about discoloration. It doesn't affect the taste. I don't care if the lid breaks. But the little plastic legs break, and then the dripper becomes unstable and increasingly unusable. The more expensive ceramic Bonavita has a better bottom construction, except that it rests on an equally fragile lever. So my advice is to get one, but expect a replacement every two years. And an extra $11-$13 a year for great coffee might not be too high a price.
