Review on Electric Jellyfish Table Color Changing by Julian Rash

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's a hassle to set up, jellyfish look like they've been caught in a wave IF you can even get them to "swim ".

I spent a week trying to get this damn thing to work but it's okay. I'd give him a solid "meh." I used distilled water as directed (luckily I had some) but it's almost impossible to fill it completely without a BIT air in the top. It took me two days to get almost everything out, but there is still some air at the top. There were two "jellyfish" in the kit, which first had to be soaked in detergent, then rinsed off and then placed in the lamp. THEY will be covered with air bubbles and you will have to "use a fork" (it says in the instructions) to get rid of them. Well, you have to take the top off to do that, and you know what? MORE air at the tip to get rid of. The larger jellyfish started "swimming" after about 5 days, while the smaller one barely swims after about 9 days. Since I can't get all the air out at the top, the fish gets an air bubble at the top and doesn't swim. It's become a quest, but I'm about to give up. And when jellyfish swim, it's more like being caught in a tidal wave for a minute, spinning like crazy, then floating back to the surface before the next wave. This is not at all realistic"swimming". I thought it was more of a lava lamp, just with jellyfish, but it's not at all. And the colors of the lamp are not very bright. Almost a disappointment. And I think it's very expensive for what you get. Everything is made of very cheap plastic.
