Did tons of research on weighted blankets and decided on this one. Got the 5lb pink one for our 3 year old who has sensory issues, along with anxiety. She will not sleep through the night and has to sleep with me, even though her twin sister is right beside her to comfort her. The blanket is extremely soft. I have not washed it, but did watch the video on how to wash the blanket. Looks like a bit of a pain, but we shall see. She was excited to get the blanket and has messed with it some. We have only had it for almost a week. It has not helped her sleep at night, which is what I was hoping. Hopeful it will help even if just a bit. Overall, wonderful blanket if you are looking for one and I am extremely picky when it comes to buying stuff, especially for my kids.
