Review on UGEARS 70031 Treasure Wooden Assembly Kit: No Glue Required by David West

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Beautiful in appearance but almost impossible to assemble for its intended purpose.

I've been building wooden kits for years, but this was the hardest thing I've ever tried. This was particularly difficult because the instructions weren't always clear and the details often didn't fit as intended. The idea of using candle wax wasn't very effective and it was very confusing as to which parts to lubricate. Finally I have a nifty crate, a partially working crate that's missing parts I couldn't assemble properly and features I couldn't get right to work. I would not recommend this to anyone unfamiliar with building working models with so many tiny and fragile parts and so many functional 'actions'.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here
