I had a set of glass bowls, small bowls that I used for cooking. Well, clumsily I've broken them up over the years and there were never enough small ones to start with. It is great. Each contains 1/3 cup, which I double-checked to confirm. So you can use them to measure while storing items. If you've ever watched cooking shows on TV and thought my meals were never that easy, it's probably because you don't prepare everything ahead of time. Use them, chop veggies, measure out condiments and sauces, then put them away. When cooking, you can just throw things away and then all you have to do is clean those stainless steel bowls. They are also easy to clean. They're also great for dipping sauces on the side of plates and trays. I think I will buy more, maybe find something for 1 cup for more capacity.
