Review on LANMU Bottle Holder Torches Outdoor by Elena Bryant

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Longer wicks than others we've seen. Oil seems to absorb well. Loose fitting necks and closures when used with wine bottles.

We had no problem putting oil in the bottles pictured which are just cheap $1 bottles. The wick burns much slower than regular cotton. After a few hours they weren't burning at all. Our cotton wick tiki torches, which we made by tearing apart a cheap $5 cotton swab, typically burn out after 3-4 hours (about an inch of wick), requiring you to pull more wick from the torch. After 3 hours they didn't seem to be burning at all, but the protruding part of the wick was less surrounded by flame, so maybe they just don't burn like cotton - we'll see next time. newly lit. Since these fiberglass wicks are of course quite thick, they went through the tiki oil a little faster with a larger flame, at least initially. as well as in the dollar tree bottles shown (we added rope ourselves to prevent the glass from breaking in high winds and to give it a more coastal look. I tried so rubber grommets and a tight seal were not required to work properly , assuming it's even perfect. As one poster commented, air can be optimal for the soaking process. Caps are better for hanging decoration than for functional use. But that's subjective. Caps aren't deep enough to capture enough air block to put out flames and attract don't cover the bulb to keep the fuel from evaporating if left outside personally I think the manufacturer should have put a mo we thought about caps or at least made them long enough to achieve the jar some random parts and packaged them all together as a kit A project that mi half t works with the most common bottle shapes and sizes. Pair of Tiki brand wicks is that they are 14 inches long, not 10 inches, which is far too short for typical 12-inch wine bottles unless you weight the bottom with decorative rocks, marble, or something else for filler. In fact, if anything, I wish these would be sold longer, or better yet, like a rope you cut from yourself, with no amenities.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • not as good as it says
