Useless rubber straps make owning this bike rack a waste of money. We returned from a trip last night to find that my beloved mountain bike must have fallen off the rack at some point during our 3 hour ride. There was no warning, no need to worry, but the holes in the rubber material just didn't have the power. This was the third trip with this suitcase. I will never trust it again. I dread to think if this was the cause of an accident that we didn't know about. I skimmed through the newscasts of our trip, hoping not to find any bad news. Let's hope he threw the bike in a way that avoided the movement. We were averaging 45 mph in the van so hopefully the drivers behind me had enough time to react at that point.
