In general, I'm very happy with LxPek inks - the ink price is ridiculous, but after many unsuccessful attempts with the same Sams ink refills, I returned for a while to the famous brand . A few months ago I decided to give generics another try as they are so much cheaper. I was very pleasantly surprised that it seemed to last almost as long as the well known brand. I've just started dating cartridges when I change them to keep track of durability. I'm ordering my second kit now, but as another user suggested, I'll take a good look at the warnings and let it run as dry as possible. I've found that taking them out and giving them a vigorous shake gets you a few more pages, and also when they run out, splitting the print into smaller pages at a time (sending one or two pages at a time). In the end I seem to run out of multi-page documents. However, when I print it page by page, it takes longer. Even for uncritical ones - switch to other colors, they go out. I try to get as much out of the cartridge as possible, especially for my own use where the color isn't a factor.
