It does in fact charge batteries.
For AAA batteries, you can expect to wait a little over an hour for them to charge from completely dead. My only complaint with this device is that it doesn’t have an on or off switch. It simply relies on the power cord that’s a little unnerving. Other than that it’s a great device and it seems to charge quickly. Especially for the price I would recommend it.
