Manual does not say how long it takes to charge and recommends a 2A charger. I have used several different ones and the charger only pulls .30 amps. Seller send replacement due to it not showing when the battery was completely charged. I have to periodically unplug it and plug it back into power to see the charge light go from red to green. Most of my smoke detectors take 9 volt batteries. They now have lithium rechargeable batteries in them. I have other handheld devices that also use 9 volt batteries and they are getting lithium rechargeable batteries in them for now on. No problems at all. Good for the planet and good for me. I can recharge hundreds of times, nice going EBL.

Have purchased other types of EBL batteries before and have always had good luck with them as well as good customer service when there is an issue. The same is true with these 9V.

The batteries stay cool when charging, the charger works fine, and the batteries seem to work great in my smoke detectors (far longer that I anticipated between charges).

One of the 5 charging ports is a little off center, and the battery takes some persuasion to get it to plug in. I do not go through 9 volt batteries very fast, so i just use a different port. Would buy again.

I've only had this product for a few months, but so far has met my expectations and save me quit a bit of money. I use the 9V batteries on my tens unit and was going through batteries every 2-3 weeks. I'm currently using the same battery I started with.

I found the build quality to be cheap as the cases are thin plastic, not metallic like alkaline batteries. Also the charger doesn't charge to a full 9V as others have noted, 8.5VDC. I would not puncture the case! It will probably catch on fire readily and plan to try that out in controlled conditions. We'll see how the batteries hold charge. Also the outside labels have bubbles in them - the whole case just feels cheap.

I bought this to use the batteries with my TENS unit for my back. All batteries came sealed and the unit looks like its made well. I did not realize it is a USB charger. It barely gets warm after they are on a full charge. I didn't reach over to check during the first 2 hours when they would have actually been charging. But 4 out of 5 batteries were supposedly charged according to the green lights. One did not take a charge but I am assuming it was not seated correctly. I am unable to test them

Seem to hold change over several months and compare favorably to 9V non-rechargeable batteries I’ve purchased. That's my review.

These batteries are covered with a plastic sheet that makes it difficult to remove them once placed inside the battery compartment. These sheets can be torn exposing the metal cover if one tries to pry it with a screw driver or such. Lastly the batteries do not hold charge for long. I had to use all 5 batteries in succession as each was lasting a day or less.

These charged up fine after I received them and I started using them in various devices including two in our dogs shock collars for the underground fence. The dogs rarely test the fence but will occasionally get close enough to set off the warning so the batteries lasted for several months. UPDATED 26 October 2018 - Just two days after posting the initial review, I've rechecked the battery charge on each one, and they now range from 8.21 to 8.29 volts - an obvious across the board drop in just 48 hours. I ordered three kits of these so I had plenty of rechargeables for our stage productions. No DOAs. All of them took an initial charge and held it. As an avid musician I have a number of effect pedals and instruments with active pickups requiring 9v batteries. This can get very expensive so I bought the ELB 9v rechargeable batteries & charger.
