The batteries stay cool when charging, the charger works fine, and the batteries seem to work great in my smoke detectors (far longer that I anticipated between charges).
Pros
- A fantastic backup power source that can be a lifesaver in case of power outages

- The batteries may not recharge after a few uses, making them a short-term investment
