Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Grip and Convenience with Glacier Chains Rubber Adjuster for Passenger Tire Chains by Randy Albright

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Need some adjustment

Works and some snow chains (cheaper $30) might benefit from using one. Why some chains don't need this doesn't make sense since cheaper wire rope chains don't have a tensioner. In fact, my chains that are over 12 years old actually advise buying a pair of tensioners (not included!). But before use, you need to do the following: take the pliers and bend the rubber side of the hook more tightly so that it does not fall off. It's not a quality tire but it will do the job. However, their elasticity only reaches its full potential when you stretch it out of its formed shape. You can stretch it just by pulling on it, but unless you're very strong it's not worth the effort. Instead, just hold it between two hands and just pull. It will be a little pliable and you will work your way through and stretch it. Once that's done, you'll see that you can stretch anything. You will thank me later
