Our cats love to dig and throw out the garbage. Even when the large pot is closed, it falls to the ground. Our washer and dryer are side by side in a small room with plenty of room to get in and out and space in front of each. The door opens inwards in front of the washing machine. The drip tray is located in front of the tumble dryer, with the opening facing the space in front of the washing machine. This mat (large) is perfect to completely cover the floor in front of the pots/washing machines. I've tried many mats, rugs, etc. but nothing has worked. Dirt gets stuck in the hinges and doesn't hit the floor at all. I didn't have to shake it. I just turn the vacuum on low and it sucks out the dirt, but the mat won't budge. It's also nice underfoot and dirt doesn't fall on your feet. Highly recommended!
