Bought these for a trip west. Part of the group went hiking in Cascade Canyon in Grand Teton National Park. The rest of the group went to Jackson and a date was set for a meeting. However, the tour group was a bit late with their return. When we turned on the walkie-talkies while we were still on the trail and almost 2 miles from the parking lot (which is on the other side of Jenny Lake), we were actually able to communicate. It was wonderful. Everything worked great.
