Review on Heavy Duty Metal Garden Hose Nozzle Sprayer - 4 High Pressure Watering Modes For Plants, Lawns, Car Washing, Patio & Pet Care by Chad Sornsin

Looks Robust, But Hard to Control Flow Rate

This seems to be sturdier than the usual plastic nozzles. This nozzle allows the spray pattern to be adjusted just like the standard hose nozzle. However, if attached to a hot garden hose, the metal handle becomes too hot to hold in bare hands until all the hot water has flowed through. Some kind of insulating grip would help. My biggest gripe is inability to vary the flow rate with the trigger/valve mechanism. It seems to want to be either full on or full off. If you stick a finger between the trigger and the handle before squeezing the trigger, it's possible--with great care--to get an intermediate flow rate, but a slight variation of the trigger pressure either shuts the water off completely or transitions to a strong blast--not good for potted plants. The knurled brass fitting at the back seems to lock in the valve. I couldn't loosen by hand it in an attempt to change the flow rate. Bottom line: Good for blasting grime off your car or spraying water onto mature plants, but NOT good for tomato seedlings in 1 gallon pots or young petunias on the ground.

  • Beautiful, works great. love it
Cons
  • May require extra care when handling to avoid injury
