This is my fourth trailer/RV. I have used various jigs to keep my trailers from moving over the years. On tandem bikes, it is best to install an anti-spread device between the tires. I've had a pair in this style for a long time. This was the style where you adjusted them and then put them between the tires and pulled the lever up to keep the bottom from going up. I did this with an old wrench holding the bottom down. With two sore shoulders, it turned into a horrible experience. Eventually they were too rusty and I just couldn't adjust them. I've had my eye on this style for a while but found it expensive. Well I've finally made my decision and I'm glad I did. They simply slip between the tires and tighten. My trailer is now more stable than ever. I bought two of these and each comes with a key so I have a spare. The ring spanner has two different sizes, one at each end. It is also a ratchet wrench. So I marked the end that fits the device and also marked the wrench which side to put them on and which side to take them off. This setup is much easier! Let's assume you could get a cheaper set but I love the way they press against the tires and fit. I wish I had bought them sooner. Update: We have used them on several trips. Our trailer is now MUCH more stable. Very easy to put on and with those stabilizing pads pulled tight and down we're rock solid.
