great stuff. I don't know why all these reviews are from people complaining about the broken tip. This little one heats up and cuts through mylar and packaging plastic with ease. Just don't leave it on for too long. And I also suggest gluing the base to something solid because like I said it gets hot and the base that comes with it won't hold it in place. I also have a wire brush to clean the tip of burnt plastic which helps. I've had it for a few months now
