The zipper is unbuttoned. I bought the same size as my regular compression stockings. Wanted to see if it would be easier to put them on. Very difficult to attach. It's very convenient when you're at the top, but one of them kept ripping the zipper, so I pulled on the already closed zipper and it opened on its own. I lowered the top a bit and it stayed. But after a while, the lightning left marks in the leg.
