Introduction: So I've been trying to get a camera for personal use for the last 2 years, believe it or not. I did a lot of research on the best budget cameras and found out about the Canon Rebel SL2 or 200D which came before the SL3 or 250D (this camera). Both the SL2/200D and SL3/250D are the same, both have Canon's Dual Pixel AF, the same body and are compatible with a wider range of Canon EFS lenses, but the SL3/250D had the added 4K movie capability. I originally wanted the SL3, the US version but it was $600 but after a bit of research I settled on the 250D which is exactly the same camera as the SL3 but European and $100 cheaper so I bought it . I love this camera, it has many different modes for beginners which makes it very easy to use. The image quality is excellent, my expectations were fully met. I love that it also has a mic jack so you can use external mics like the Rode mic for video. The multi-angle screen helps a lot in taking photos from different angles, it also features dual pixel autofocus technology that allows the camera to keep the subject in focus 99% of the time. Overall, I think the 250D is one of the best, if not the best, budget DSLR on the market right now, and it's perfect for beginners. The US version of this camera is the Canon Rebel SL3, it's no different and literally the same, the only difference is that it's from the US and costs $100 more than the 250D.
