Much better than I expected!

I am very surprised by these gloves. When I opened the plastic packaging they came in I was surprised to see how good the build quality is. There were no seam defects or inconsistencies. They are well built. How light they are, I'm amazed at how warm they keep my hands. The -30 degree statement is more like "your hands don't get cold at -30" than "your hands stay warm at -30". But I like it because they weren't so warm that my hands would sweat. I used these gloves for cycling on a rainy, windy day when it was around 40-50 degrees. There were concerns about the wind blowing through the gloves. Although they weren't completely windproof, I felt they kept the cold wind out pretty well. When I got home from work, there was a cold torrential downpour. I was expecting my hands to get wet but these didn't let water through! However, I would not believe the claim that they are waterproof. After I got home and left the gloves, the water ran out. But they are definitely waterproof and do a great job with it. I bought them for winter gloves. I decided to try them on the bike as I had a cold bike ride and needed something to keep my hands warm. I found them so useful during my ride that I now use them as cycling gloves in cold weather. I'm curious to see how they deal with the cold Idaho winters. I love how well my hands worked in it. They fit my hands great and I didn't feel like my fingers and hands were burdened with gloves on. I use an electric bike and was able to interact with all the levers, buttons and switches while wearing gloves. The only thing I didn't think was good was the touchscreen. The finger does not work well with touch screens. I managed to get it to work a bit on my iPhone XR if I tilted my finger properly, but most of the time it was overkill. However, this is normal for me as the gloves are easy to put on and take off. To sum up: great build quality, fairly good wind resistance, amazing weight to warmth ratio, great water resistance, amazing dexterity, poor touchscreen skills. I recommend these gloves, especially for the price. . I'm very glad I have them and I hope they will last a long time!
