The scroll wheel is insanely clumsy

The mouse is comfortable and although a bit flashy for my taste it was on sale on Cyber Monday and I needed a new mouse. Fan recommended software, G-HUB. Fortunately, the Logitech Gaming Software still supports the mouse. My big problem with the mouse is the scroll wheel. When it's locked in click mode (like a regular mouse) it's very uncomfortable because it's smooth metal and it slides on your fingers so you end up twisting and sliding a lot. It wears off on your skin as you use it for work. So you're pretty much forced to use it in free spins mode, but it spins too free. It's obviously on ball bearings, but it needs some friction. Simply moving the mouse and touching the scroll wheel scrolls. Then if you scroll, stop scrolling, and take your finger off the scroll wheel, it will likely move a little. It's crazy. This is a great mouse killed by the worst scroll wheel I have ever had the misfortune of using. I've spent days getting used to it and I'll give it some more time, but it will most likely be returned for something else soon.
