I have a 2019 MacBook Air and I've noticed that the color of the keys wears off when you type a lot. To prevent this, I invested in a protective cover. This case is perfect for your keyboard. It took very little setup to get used to tapping on it. You can still feel the F and J dots on the keys to help you navigate while typing. What it doesn't do is let light through from the keys. So if you're typing in very low light or in the dark you might need to remove it, but I think that's secondary. The lid is quite thin and has a rubbery feel, so it sticks to the keys and doesn't slip. It's also a good price, so I highly recommend it to protect your keyboard from dust and wear and tear. One review didn't properly cover the Shift and Backspace keys, but mine covers them, so I'm not sure on this review. The keys are perfectly aligned on the keyboard cover.
