The title says it all. This is a battery powered LED that is available in a variety of colors and brightness levels. Works very well, there is a remote control. I bought it for the nursery because I knew she would love to play with different colors. The only catch is that it's not bright enough to illuminate a medium-sized room. As a second light source or night light just to create an atmosphere, that's fine. The only other comment is that it requires type C batteries. It is advertised as running 40 hours on a fresh pair of alkaline batteries. So far it's probably been over 40 hours on and off, but it's still close to 100%. I am planning to buy rechargeable NiMH C cells and a charger and this will solve the battery problem; I only change them about once a week. Not the most comfortable thing, but it's better than redoing the blanket.
