Gasket does not fit 2000 Elantra

Transmission oil pan rubber gasket does not fit. In the lower left corner of the image shown, the curve is too short to fit. I had to cut the gasket and push two screws in and also use caulking in the gap but I'm not sure how well it will hold up. I just wanted to finish the job, but in hindsight maybe I should have just gone to my local auto parts store and bought the right one. Just take a look. I just keep my fingers crossed.
