Very soft silicone rubber, smooth, pliable and comfortable on the wrist. It has good volume for trimming; Mounted on a 43mm Caliber de Cartier Diver caliber, it fits my slender wrist perfectly. Simply cut with a sharp pair of scissors. Be patient as you make it smaller by cutting off the extra attachment points, obviously on one end. Like all silicone rubbers, it picks up dirt like crazy, although it's easy to clean. Clasp made of thin sheet metal, stamped and hemmed. The metal surface is uneven. There is no sense of "precision processing". But it works fine. I think it looks just as good on the watch as the original Cartier rubber strap (damaged by fire). A replacement strap from Cartier costs $400. This costs eleven dollars including shipping. Yes, I call it victory.
