Water Damage Crisis Averted – BIG INVESTMENT!

Like other reviews, this small investment has saved me hundreds of dollars in potential water damage repairs. The contractors did the dirty work by installing 4 new cranes. They ALL leak a little (old plumbing tape). I would probably NEVER notice a dime-sized puddle until the wood under the sink started to rot. I obviously didn't have much faith in my contractors because normally a new build doesn't follow a small leak alert. My husband thought I was funny. Wrong again! It's not LOUD. This is an $8 water sensor in your CLOSED locker. Once you locate the source of that annoying high-pitched squeak, you'll pat yourself on the back for buying these stupid little things. I set up a google reminder to check in 5 months and replace the dead ones! Boom - crisis averted! I also marked them with a sharpie (kitchen, basement, handyman, etc.) so when testing and re-ordering, I know where to put the new ones.

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION. Just set and forget. If water is present, a 110dB alarm will sound.
Cons
  • Some issues
