Review on AMD Ryzen 7 3800X Processor: Unlocked 8-Core CPU with Wraith Prism Cooler for Powerful Desktop Performance by Michal Machnicki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent product, the best quality.

I have an Aorus x570 elite mother. I made a small adjustment in the RMaster of the 3800x processor, manually set the processor frequencies to 4425 at a voltage of 1.38. when rendering, it keeps this value across all cores, in idle it drops to a minimum, all stress tests pass without problems. Cooling Noctua NH-D15 (before that it cooled my Phenom II X6 1055T during overclocking) the maximum temperature was no more than 92 g, and then only in very long rendering scenes when loading on all cores, as well as in games and when working with video ( 4k) more than 65-70 gr does not rise. You can raise it to 4.5, but it doesn’t hold the temperature anymore. Maximum consumption (aida) writes 147W per processor. In office tasks + CAD 2d no more than 45 gr -50 gr If you set OC, then RM writes a frequency of 4700, it didn’t work out in life, I noticed a maximum of 4550 per core.

Pros
  • Performance in games is excellent, work tasks eat with a bang. Depending on the requirements of the tasks, it regulates the frequency itself and, accordingly, the bills for EL will not increase compared to my past Phenom II X6 1055T in overclocking. Why 3800 and not 3700x . there was an opportunity that's why I bought it. In tasks where loading of all cores is not required, the temperature is not more than 65 g in active work / play. In idle, about 40g and consumption ~ 40-50 watts (according to aide)
Cons
  • The disadvantage is the inability to set the frequency to 4700 for all cores, as RM writes in automatic overclocking. Temperatures are high under load on all cores, it reaches 92g, depending on the temp. in the room may fluctuate. It was not possible to overclock more than 4425 for everyone, Increasing the voltage and setting the CBO will still allow you to get a small increase, but it's not worth it NOISE + electricity.
